Summary of Role

To produce high quality management information in the form of regular/ad-hoc reporting and data analysis in relation to Retail Payments and other relevant business areas.

Provide secondary support to other areas of the Finance team, including daily payment reconciliations, data management and investigations.

Responsibilities

To produce management information on a weekly basis by manipulating Business Objects data and presenting data using sophisticated Excel spreadsheets.

Identification and analysis of trends in data including forecasting profitability and break-even points, to assist in business decisions.

Analysis and critical assessment of data against company benchmarks and targets and producing feedback to alert of any unusual or unexpected variances.

Monitoring and assessment of performance statistics and trends thereof, identification of problem areas/issues and reporting findings to be used in improving processes.

Designing/redesigning reports to assist in budgeting, forecasting and all regular and ad-hoc reporting. Data modelling and production of high quality tailored output, making full use of graphical representation where appropriate.

To be a key driver in project testing in terms of scoping tests and assessing the resultant output.

Analysis of profit and loss accounts, correction of any mispostings and liaison with other departments to correct procedures ongoing where necessary.

Maintenance of balance sheet control accounts.

To provide cover for other areas within the Finance Banking team.
